At Ruff Mode, we enrich the lives of dogs and their hoomans with thoughtfully designed essentials that combine durability, function, and flair. But our purpose goes beyond the cart. We believe every dog deserves love, and every shelter dog deserves hope. That’s why a portion of our sales goes toward feeding, caring for, and rehoming shelter dogs through partnerships with local rescues across Canada.
Where It All Began
It all started with a school project. Back then, it was called The Ruff Life, a simple, fun idea we created for a college competition called Venture Quest. The concept? Celebrate every dog’s everyday moods: play mode, walk mode, nap mode.
We’ve always believed dogs aren’t just pets. They’re family. They see us on our worst days and love us anyway. That belief sparked something bigger. We realized dogs have lifestyles too, and we wanted to create products that celebrate and support that.

That’s how Ruff Mode was born, a space where dogs could be celebrated in every mood and where hoomans like us could find joy in spoiling them a little more. Every product, every design, every detail is rooted in the bond between a dog and their hoomans.
